About Hi-Temp Coatings Technology

Having spent years working for industrial coatings manufacturers, Hi-Temp Coatings Technology co-founders Fred Zupicich and Bob Warren understood that clients were using antiquated and inadequate technology to attempt to solve their high heat coatings problems. Industrial heat resistant coatings constitute only a small percentage of a plant's overall coatings requirements, yet historically, these applications have accounted for a high percentage of the site's overall coatings failures. It had been this way for generations simply because generic industrial heat resistant coatings have numerous deficiencies and application limitations.

Fred and Bob came up with the following two goals;

  1. Develop technology to provide solutions to all 10 of the deficiencies inherent of generic heat resistant coatings.
  2. Change the industry's opinion about industrial heat resistant coatings.
    From giant headaches »» versatile problem solvers

Bob was assigned the first task.

A year later, he successfully developed a line of industrial heat resistant coatings that unequivocally corrected all of the deficiencies that had been plaguing the market for decades—the most significant of these problems being corrosion under insulation. The industry was searching for a practical solution to the growing CUI problem—one that allows for easy maintenance in the long term. Bob's crowning moment was the independent testing by one of world's largest petrochemical companies which resulted in the approval of our Hi-Temp 1027 for the prevention of CUI in their global under insulation program.

Today, HTC has the world's most technologically advanced line of elevated temperature resistant coatings, and more importantly—they work.

With the first goal achieved, it was now up to Fred Zupicich to begin working on the second goal: telling the world. In 6 years, Hi-Temp Coatings Technology has steadily grown from two men with a vision to the current status as North American sales leader of industrial heat resistant coatings.

Although we are pleased to have helped these clients, we realize that they represent only a small fraction of the overall market. While global sales are strong, many people in the coatings community are unaware that this new, proven technology exists. Our international division has been working hard to ensure that our paint can be found at every corner of the globe.

Although a lot has changed at HTC since the early days, we continue to move towards the goal of raising the bar of the industrial heat resistant coatings.
